TYPE: Hourly Part-Time and Full-time as scheduled (+tips)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Wine Server will be an integral part of our team, responsible for educating our guests about our wines and their wellness benefits, conducting tastings, and serving food and wine with mindfulness and care. This role is suited for someone who is knowledgeable about wine, enthusiastic about holistic wellness, and excels in customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct wine tastings for guests, providing detailed information about the winemaking process, wine varietals, and their potential health and wellness benefits.

- Offer personalized recommendations for wine and wellness pairings, considering guests’ preferences and dietary needs.

- Serve wine and menu items with a focus on “eating to live” and eating intentionally.

- Engage with guests to create a welcoming and therapeutic atmosphere, facilitating a connection with the wine and the surrounding natural environment.

- Identifying customers by name when appropriate

- Maintain a thorough understanding of the winery’s offerings, including limited-edition wines, wellness programs, and special events.

- Process sales transactions and assist guests in selecting wines and wellness products to take home.

- Ensure the tasting bar, dining areas, and outdoor spaces are clean, organized, and reflective of our commitment to wellness and environmental sustainability.

- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to alcohol service and food safety.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Proven experience as a server, bartender, or related role, preferably in a winery, upscale restaurant, or wellness-focused setting.

- Strong knowledge of wine, with a willingness to learn more about the intersection of wine and wellness.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage positively with guests.

- A passion for wellness, sustainability, and creating meaningful experiences for guests.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
