Dress Code Guidelines

Dress Code Guidelines

This dress code ensures that employees present a unified, professional, and neutral appearance that complements the winery and wellness center's serene atmosphere. It also takes into consideration the practical aspects of their roles, promoting both comfort and functionality. While respecting individuality, we aim to ensure that the overall presentation aligns with the business's ethos of tranquility and elegance. All staff must contribute to a cohesive neutral, and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Colors: Attire should be in neutral colors such as beige, white, black, navy blue, or gray. This palette supports a calming environment and reflects our commitment to simplicity and elegance. Clothing must be clean and in good condition, free of stains, holes or other damage.

Tops: Employees should wear provided Lifted Spirits or solid-color, button-down shirts or blouses made from quality fabric. The tops should be well-fitted but not tight, ensuring comfort throughout the day. Sleeveless shirts are not permitted if serving food or beverage. Employees must always maintain a well -groomed, professional appearance.

Bottoms: Trousers or skirts in neutral colors matching the tops. Skirts should be of modest length, no shorter than just above the knee. Trousers should be tailored but not constricting, allowing for ease of movement. Shorts are permitted if no more than 2 inches above the knee.

Footwear: Closed-toe, comfortable shoes suitable for standing for long periods. Footwear should be in good condition and in neutral colors that match the overall attire. For roles that require more mobility, supportive and non-slip shoes are essential. White is not permitted.

Accessories: Keep accessories minimal to maintain the focus on the natural beauty of the surroundings and the wellness experience. Simple, understated jewelry is permitted; watches should be sleek and not distract from the overall look.

Personal Hygiene:Employees are expected to maintain a high level of personal hygiene and grooming. Hairstyles should be neat and professional and must be worn away from the face and off the collar when possible. Makeup, if worn, should be in natural tones. Strong colognes or perfumes are not permitted.

Additional Considerations:

Seasonal /Weather Variations:Adjustments to the dress code may be made to accommodate seasonal weather changes, provided they adhere to the overall guidelines of neutrality and professionalism.

Health and Safety:Any modifications to the dress code for health or safety reasons must be discussed with management. This includes but is not limited to, kitchen staff wearing hairnets or hats and the use of gloves.

Facial Piercings: A conservative approach is preferred for facial piercings. Employees are permitted to wear a small, stud piercing in each ear. Other facial piercings should be limited to one small, non-distracting stud (nose piercings are acceptable in this context). Large or multiple facial piercings should be removed or replaced with clear or flesh-toned retainers during work hours.

Body Piercings: As body piercings are generally not visible under clothing, they are permissible as long as they do not interfere with the employee’s safety, the safety of others, or the employee's ability to perform their job duties.

Nails: Nail polish, if worn, should be in neutral or subdued colors that complement the overall neutral dress code. Bright, neon, or heavily decorated nails should be avoided to maintain the serene and professional atmosphere of our environment. Length and Shape: Nails should be kept to a moderate length and filed in a clean, rounded or square shape to ensure safety, especially for employees handling food or working in the wellness area.

General Considerations:

Individual Expression vs. Business Image: While we recognize and respect our employees’ right to self-expression, we also must maintain a consistent and professional image that aligns with our guests’ expectations for a tranquil and sophisticated experience.

Dialogue and Exceptions:We understand that culture, religion, and personal expression play significant roles in our choices regarding body art and modifications. Employees are encouraged to discuss any concerns or needs for exceptions with management to find a mutually acceptable solution.

Compliance & Support:Adherence to the dress code is expected at all times during working hours. Management is committed to supporting staff in understanding and meeting these expectations. Employees who are unsure about clothing choices should seek guidance from their supervisor. Non-compliance may result in disciplinary action.
